I'm looking for a new phone, but use altel and was wondering if there were any programs for texting or using the menues that are supported buy altel. Any input would be appriciated.
thanks
Jenna

i don't think these phones are made anymore, but the LGAX line was pretty good. you might want to look around for those

i don't usually look in the deep stuff, just use the phone and status commands. my friend cool brandon knows more about the full working of the phone than i do

The LGAX does not work with messaging, and only the top levels of the menus have speech.

You can see which Alltel phones work with mobile speak at this website:

Talks will not work on Alltel phones because they don't use the simbian Operating systems on any of there phones. I believe Alltell does have the Palm 700w and the 6700 which are pDA/ phones. the moto q is $200 or so right now with a contract an MSS is about $249.
Of course if you have the ability to go with at&t you could get MSS for $89 or so.

They take mobile speak?

first of all, if you plan to use this phone to do full fledged messaging, get a laptop instead. the LGAX is enough for those that want a phone, it has contact abilities, and it speaks enough to use. get something that uses mobile speak and you'll be playing with everything else instead of using the phone. that's just my thoughts on the matter however
